heute vor 21 Jahren, am 16.03.1996, wurde der jüngste Flottenzugang von Carnival Cruise Lines, die "Inspiration", nach Ihrer Fertigstellung durch die Werft Kværner Masa-Yards in Helsinki getauft. Als Patin bei der Zeremonie in Miami fungierte Mary Anne Shula, Ehefrau des erfolgreichen Football-Trainers Don Shula.
Seit Oktober 2007 heißt das Schiff nun "Carnival Inspiration".
