Hello.

After what i can read here and on other forums the beautifull * Mona LIsa * have her last season this year......the question is :

What will Lord Nelson Seereisen do? get a new ship or is it over for them next year?

first of all, it is important to know what Lord Nelson Seereisen is and what it is not. Lord Nelson is neither the owner, nor the operator, nor a company that is chartering "Mona Lisa". It is "merely" a travel agency. A most important one, as it is the exlusive travel agency through which Kyma Shipmanagement, the company behind "Mona Lisa", sells the ship's summer cruises on the German market - but still just a travel agency also selling lots of other cruise lines beside "Mona Lisa". Lord Nelson does provide a handful of cruise staff members, but that's it on paper.

As far as "Mona Lisa" herself is concerned, she should be able to operate a final season in 2010, as SOLAS regulations usually come into effect not on the first day of the year but usually on October 1st.

Just to correct: we spoke with this handful of cruise staff members on the ship: they are not on Lord Nelson's payroll but also from the owner's/managing company.

Hi,
as you also know ,Lord Nelson(Those times under the name of "Holiday Kreuzfahrten" ) faced huge problems and it was insolvent. Henceforwards to sell the cruises of Kyma in the german market for the summer season was a big goal of Mr.
Fervers. I do appreciate his success very much!But, I do hope that in the very soonest future he will find a reasonable vessel and sail throughout the year again,as it was in the past.

We recieved them, too, and I put them into the recycling box - unread.
Seems that Lord Nelson ist meanwhile nothing else than one of the many travel agencies which are taking care that my mailbox is filled every day with unasked advertisement ...

once again! Because the cruise biz seems still to be lucrative. ( According to
the communication of DRV for 2008 and to the estimation of 2009. )

Mona Lisa will cruise in Northern Europe 2010....she is booked in Dublin and Copenhagen so far i have seen So she going for another season after 2009
